The Class of 1954 celebrated their 50th Reunion on November 20, 2004. The party was held at the Barbara Worth Resort in Holtville.

Anyone was welcome but those from the classes 1950 through ‘58 were especially invited. Guests from 1947 through 1957 were there. All in all it was a wonderful turn out, with 108 folks for dinner. We feasted on New York Strip Somerville and Chicken Wellington.

This class has remained close and has celebrated a reunion ever five years. We are always anxious to see one another and catch up on happenings in the lives of our friends and classmates. As an example, we planned for people to arrive at about 5:30 but the room was almost packed by 4:30!

The food was very good, the tables were beautifully dressed in red and white and each table had a vase of red and white carnations, chocolate kisses, and lots of confetti. The red carnation was the class flower. Nancy Wynns arranged the flowers and Marilyn & Tilton Gore, Don Barioni, and Charles Hancock placed the flowers and decorations on the tables. Linda Denham and Marilyn Gore were the greeters and helped folks with name tags and food choice tickets.

We had a lot of fun looking at old pictures, some from grade school, high school, and others that have been taken at the various reunions over the years. Nancy & Bob Wynns’ collection was attached to large foam boards and was on the memorabilia table for everyone to enjoy. In addition, there were lots of duplicates and extra pictures on the table for anyone to take.

It was a great time and we look forward to our 55th Class Reunion.
